I’m very proud and eternally grateful for my family. This is our Christmas picture for 07. My wife insisted the dogs be included, Missy and Elmo (he’s the little one with a scarf…that was a compromise…the scarf that is). The picture was taken in front of my parents home on a very warm Dec 9th, 07 afternoon. They make me look good.
Saturday our church put a truck/float in the River St. Lighted Christmas Parade in Downtown Savannah. It was sorta last minute b/c I didn’t know we were accepted until Tuesday. I had had an annoying weekend (truck in the shop, other things) and to be honest I was really looking forward to handing out 1000s of candy canes to 1000s of happy smiling people. Lance and I decorated his truck (we are not nor will ever be on the cover of Good Housekeeping) and Don, Kat, Andrew and Jen and her dad, Jim, came to help us give out the candy and wave and all that. It was a blast. I think we handed out about 8000 candy canes and also invited lots of people to our church. We’ll see. If nothing else I had a great time and it lifted my spirits. It’s good to find the things that get you through the week or month. Find them and do them. It may be reading a book, praying, playing football, painting, or doing yard work.
