a little definition of gravity

When I’m talking about “gravity” I’m referring to the gravitational pull each one of us have. ALL of us, that’s ALL, have at least one person that looks to us for advice or as an example. They are our little siblings, coworkers, employees, kids in the neighborhood, peers, our own children, etc, etc, etc. Some of us have large gravitational pulls and many, many people listen my dadto our words or pay attention to our actions. By choice or otherwise, each one of us is also in the gravitational pull of someone else (probably several) – parents, teachers, role models, etc.

Personal magnetism

warriorI just read a paragraph in a book about this. The story’s main character is a knight in medieval Germany and his squire is reflecting on the man’s personal power. “The strength which a man might carry inside himself was a strength which could shape worlds. Although his rank and his reputation and his fighting skills might all seem a part of it, in its essence it was different from those things; it was separate and strange. And it was in no way moral, no more than a magnet was. The man who possessed it might be good or evil; his strength drew men to him just the same, or held them at bay.” What do you think? Is personal magnetism (having a personal gravitational pull) something one is born with? Can it be used for good or evil?

steady, steady…Over the past few years I have discovered that most people don’t have a focus, are sucked into a gravity that is pulling them towards destruction and the only habits they have are harmful. I will not presume to be the expert on any of these but I will pass on what I’ve learned and point you in some good directions.
